About the Role
A leading asset management firm is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own and improve the developer tooling ecosystem that supports engineering teams across the organization. This role combines operational ownership with hands-on platform engineering, focused on improving reliability, automation, and developer productivity.
Responsibilities
• Own the reliability, performance, and support of developer tooling and engineering workflows.
• Act as an escalation point for tooling and productivity-related issues.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and drive long-term improvements.
• Build automation and self-service solutions that reduce operational overhead.
• Standardize developer environments, toolchains, and onboarding experiences.
• Partner with engineering and security teams to enhance tooling, governance, and platform stability.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and incident response processes.
• Contribute to developer experience initiatives and platform roadmap planning.
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Developer Productivity.
• Strong knowledge of Python tooling, package management, and development workflows.
• Experience supporting enterprise software development toolchains.
• Proficiency with scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and operational excellence mindset.
• Experience driving improvements through automation and process optimization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Experience
• Internal developer platforms or self-service engineering tools.
• SDLC platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and developer productivity initiatives.
• IDE and developer environment management at scale.
• Containerized development or build environments.
• Experience within financial services or other highly regulated environments.
